DirtWheels recently did an article on this! The RZR is slightly faster: Rhino does 40 mph, RZR does 55mph. The rzr's roll cage doesn't protect you as good as the rhino's in the event of a roll. It angles in as it goes up, allowing your head to be outside of the roll cage. The rzr also has a bit stiffer suspension which dirtwheels didn't like at slower speeds, because it made for a rougher ride. And, they said some of the rzr accessories were poor quality, i.e the cup holders, etc. Just small stuff. The rhino's underside is pretty protected, although some of it is plastic. The rhino's air filter is a little harder to service because the air box is a tractor style.
In my opinion, I would get the Rhino, because it wouldn't take much to make it as fast or faster than the rzr, it protects you more, and from what I have heard and seen, doesn't get stuck as easily as the rzr. Plus, why do you need to service the filter fast anyways? You're most likely gonna be doing it in your garage in your spare time! Plus, if the airbox and speed is a factor, get the K&N intake and that solves 2 problems at once! Easier to service and faster! With a K&N and cdi box, you should be up around 50 mph, so add a pipe, and you'll be faster than the rzr!

Just got back from the dunes this weekend after playing on both for 2 days. For the dunes the RZR is hands-down the best, but keep in mind, that is all we do with them.. If you plan on doing any work with them get the Rhino, all play go with the RZR.

I would say that either of them are good to go for any type of terrain. The RZR is a little faster but they both can handle anything you can throw at them. When it comes to stock the RZR has more travel than the Rhino. But you can put on a long travel kit on either and your identical. I put a long travel kit from Tech One Concepts on my Rhino and it kills it. 15" of travel.
