    wierd shifting on a 2004 predator

    Hey guys I hope you can help. I'm working on a 2004 polaris predator that when your in high RPM's it shifts from 2nd to 3rd automatically any body know what might cause this? please help

    is the shift drum worn out?

    There are alot of parts that will do the same thing in the transmission gear dogs, shift forks, could really be anything. I would say bad shift fork.

    i agree with katch bent shift forks are the number 1 afender of shifting problems in most cases

    and th 9 year olds have
    1 xr 80
    3 xr 70
    1 pw50
    1jr 50and the 6 year falls into the latter 2 bikes depending on the day !
