We to are learning this year with a Blaster. I believe the shocks mostly used for a budget job are Banshee fronts and some years of 250r or 400ex rears, possibly z400 rear also. Depending on the weight of the rider for the swinger length. My son is about 125# and we have a +2 on his Blaster, is it needed, I don't know for sure but he doesn't seem to wheelie much when racing so that is good. You can change out the rear hubs to Banshee hubs and use wheels from many other Yamaha quads. You can also use Banshee front spindles and disc brakes, although not perfect, it does work. You can also do some swapping around and get hydro disc in the rear.
