    What do you think caused this?

    Sorry for the bad quality pics, the big bearing is completly destroyed with a large piece of the bottom taken out...as you can see in the pics...what do you think could have caused this? AS I am rebuilding this motor and want to make sure I fix everything that is needed, thx

    Nobody..OMG!! Come on now, someone has had to have a counterbalancer fail on you before...What causes this kinda damage?

    bad bearing. Happens quite a bit on the old R's. You can mark the gear and shaft, press the gear off, and put a replacement bearing on.

    Thx Dill, I was just wondering if it was usually something else on the inside of the motor that could have casued this bearing to fail, thx for your help
