saw a kfx400 in action today.....

today i went over to the local off-road park to ride. when i came to the track, i noticed that there was a just-broken in piped and jetted kfx 400. after riding (i.e. trying to stay out of it's way) with it for a few laps, i have to admit, that thing flys.he had (i believe) a yoshimura system on it, it's loud as bloody h*ll but it seems like it really wakes up the quad. it seemed to me like the rider was almost afraid to open the throttle. it looked like it was scary fast. judging by the amount of roost was being flicked by him. all in all, the quad seems like it's pretty solid.

well i wasn't really able to keep up with him (the overall speed of the riders on the track today was cut by 30% due to the excessive mud), but he did pass me a few times.yeah i know the 250 is a wee bit slow, but today i was able to totally SMOKE a 300 (experienced rider too) with new tires and to keep up with a few blasters, so all in all today the 250 was performing well.

Well that 95% rider and 5% quad is kinda off because that is to a point because you can only ride as hard as your quad can take it like you cant jump a stocker 80 feet. i think your quad has to be up to par with your riding like your quad matches your riding kinda thing but one thing is for sure you wouldnt see a pro winning races on a full stock quad racing with other race quads so i think its more like 60% ride 40% quad but i could be wrong

This past weekend I raced on the Beach in WildWood NJ, it was a rough track, there was only one Z there out of 45 people in 4-stroke B and double that in Quad unlimited.........he was pretty damn fast, he had half a lap lead every race i saw him in, he was slaughtering some heavily modded 400EXs, and Banshees and 250Rs, it must be a pretty damn good quad, and a pretty damn good rider too
