    blaster carb problem help

    i have an 04 blaster and it was running like crap so i was going to change the needle i raised it up 1 to lean it out and i think i put every thing back right and it is running so rich it will bairly runand i thought going up made it lean out, the other question is on the throttle cable there is a groove at the bottom that is where it gets connected right?

    ok that might help your second question.
    for it running rich when in the rpm range does it run the worst? it could be your reeds if it runs really bad.

    i pulled the reeds and it is not them, it will start and runs good for about two seconds and after that it boggs and dies

    sounds like its sucking air from somewhere. make sure the intake isnt sucking are from anywhere. and take the fuel line off the carb and see if the gas flows through there good and that its not clogged.

    up to lean it it was at the 3rd clip and i put it at the 2nd clip/how do you move the needle up? i moved the clip i new what i was saying sorry

    Just wanted to make sure you were going in the right direction. I'd make sure the air filter is clean and not overoiled, and clean the carb good making sure I cleaned the seat and needle valve good. Check the float level. You might be running to high of a level in the carb. Make sure the needle is in the slide correctly.
