messing up gearing or motor?

my friend said i can mess up my gearing i put to mutch of meaty tires on the rear, like mudlights 22X11-9 are good but he said 22x11-9 Gator tires will mess up my quade. is that true or is he talkin out of iss bleep?

honestly ask the honda dealer they wont lie to u, unless they are jerks but my dealership will tell the truth not try to sell me a quad every time i stop in..

The difference would hardly be noticeable.

It's BS.

However the quad will run slower if the rolling resistance of the tire is greater than what you previously ran. a heavier tire will also decrease clutch life.
