    No power unless in neutral?

    So my EX won't start unless it's in neutral. You can hit the button and nothing happens until you put it in nuetral and then it's fine.

    I took my parking brake off and cut the wires from the perch off, should I loop them together like you have to do on Warriors?

    Yes, connect the two wires. Just remember the motor will start in gear without the clutch lever pulled in.
