    Breaking in new quad?

    What is the best way to break in a new 450R's motor?

    your gonna get a million different answers on this and everyone has there own opinion on the "best way" to break it in. for me i just started mine up and let it get warmed up really good and then took it out on the track and went a couple laps just rollin the jumps and not gettin on it at all...then i just rode the piss out of it and after a tank of gas i changed the oil and adjusted the valves and called it broken in.

    ride how you ride then after it gets hot let it cool down then do it about 2 times then it already broke in
    2004 400ex some mods but some on its way

    First let it warm up then ride it hard. Read this article.

    Yeah, just let it warm up a few minutes going slow and then after that just get on the gas and ride like you normally would ride if it was regular.

    I rode mine like I stole it from the time it got warm and have had no problems yet..........

    Break in = myth

    Just don't warm it up for the first time then hold it WFO down your road.
