    Widened LT80 Front End

Has anyone tried widening their LT80 front end themselves? I found this pic somewhere on the net a while back & thought about doing it. I thought about using 300ex shocks instead of just repositioning stock shocks. A friend did the 300ex front end conversion on his TRX90 & it works great.

The 300ex shock is too long for something like is in the pic.
I know of the 300ex add on you mention. I don't think it'll work on a LT but I could be wrong.

I was planning to measure the shock before I starting cutting & welding.
Would the setup shown in the pic work at all with stock LT shocks? I can't afford aftermarket shocks right now & this would be a cheap way to go.

A cheap way would be to put a set of spacers on and be done with it.
