Honda Rincon fluid temp light - what does it mean?

This light comes on the dash of my 2003 Rincon after about 5 minutes of riding and stays on. I have checked my engine oil level and it's fine, coolant level is fine, and the motor runs fine and doesn' t seem to get excessively hot. Is there a way to check transmission fluid or is it the same as the motor oil? I don't have the owner's manual...

transmition is your oil. check you diff oil. other wise run it. but make sure it runs top notch! so you dont ruin it
