250ex value-trade question

well my daughter is ready for a 250ex i am wondering whats their value i have a 96 banshee with title all new bushings and bearings everywhere in it a new crank and pistins with 0 hours i have to pick the motor up this weekend my question is do you think i could get a trade for a 250ex with title for the banshee or give or get boot?

I don't know what year you are looking for, but a 2003 ex goes for about 2200-2300. You could probably trade for a 250ex, but I would ask for like 100-300 dollars on top of the trade for the banshee depending on what kind of condition it's in. In my opinion you would be getting the bad end of the deal if you strait up traded for a 250ex.

you should be able to find a trade, the year of 250ex you get will determine how much too boot you would get.

my opinion, an 02-05 in good shape should get you a few hundred in your pocket after the trade.

the 06 up with the sport clutch seem to hold value a little better so you may end up closer to even.

(as long as your banshee is in good shape also)

I traded a pretty clean piped 87 250r even for a 05 250ex that looked like it just came off the showroom floor (prob. 10hrs)
and that was over a year ago.

I would post up some pics of the banshee and see what shakes
