2007 GNCC Series Round #2 - The General -Youth Race Coverage

The end of the first lap neared as the sound of a 2 stroke could be heard coming through the woods. A streak of yellow appeared as he rocketed in and out of the bottom leading to the scoring area. Harris was on a mission!

Mumford was in pursuit as he worked his Cobra to the scoring area

[Pappy]

Ferraro was slipping in to third and was not going to let Mumford out of his reach

Riley was charging hard on his TRX90 as the first lap neared completion

[Pappy]

Hill was learning the new ride but riding the mini quad was not coming back to him as fast we had hoped.

The scoring area was a twisting back and forth maze of sorts, and once cleared it was back to the fields for a wide open run through the center of the course.

Harris continued to lead but the real story was developing behind him as Ferraro had made the pass to overtake second place and was now charging hard after the leader

Brycen Neal had taken over the thrid spot as Mumford and his cobra started to fall off the leaders pace

The track had it's share of sections where mud would be a factor, and by the end of the second lap it was starting to get hard picking out riders as they took on that wonderful uniform color of thrown mud!

The DRR Hill was riding was untouched except for the addition of an aftermarket airbox. With no seat time and no set up to go with, he was doing what he could as the laps went on. A kill switch issue at a bottleneck, trying to remember the rear brake was not a clutch lever and there is no foot brake started to have it's effect on his riding. None the less, he had a blast and said that he would have loved to ride this course all day!
