1987 250x cam help please

hi i have a 1987 250x and i need to replace my cam i got the top end off and everything, i can see the cam, i just dont know how to get the cam chain loosend so i can take the cam off ive been seaching around and i hear something about a cam chain tensioner but i have no idea where this is, i also have my clutch cover off and can see the bottom of the cam chain. any help on this would be great thanks in advance!@!!!

the cam chain tensioner is on the rear right side of the motor.. what i useally do is take the sproket off the came and leave it on the chain.. do not allow the chain to drop in the motor put a piecs of string or wire trew the cam sproket then just bolt the sprocket back on when you reinstall the cam. hope this helps!
