    rear brake linkage

    how did you extend your rear brake linkage for the longer swingarm?

    did you just cut and weld?

    this is for a kasea 90

    I just bought a piece of 1/4" steel rod, bent it in a vice the same shape as the original (but with extra length of course), drilled the small hole for the cotter pin at the foot brake end, and used a tap and die set to add the adjusting threads to the other end. Works great!

    i used a piece of allthread and it broke up by the 90 where the cotter pin goes....

    did you bend it to a hard 90?

    I bent it just shy of a 90 bend. I started to use allthread, but ran into the same problem. The steel rod is much stronger and ended up looking just like the original.

    Don't try to put a 90 degree bend in threaded rod without heating it or it will break off.
