    pull cord wont go back in...help!

    my friend has a 2004 honda rancher 350ES we tryed to pull start it but his pull cord wont go back in. i was wondering if there was a decompression lever on it some where.

    ur recoil is messed up u prolly gotta take it apart to fix it and a decompression lever is for starting it so there isnt so much compression on the piston, ranchers dont have em

    ok thank you. i know what the decompression lever did because i had one on my old moto 4, i was just wondering if it had one because on the moto 4 if u didnt use the decompression lever the pull cord wouldnt go back in.

    thanks for the help i guess ill have to take it apart.
