Nope, I didn't make it to the race. I had some family obligations that I had to attend to .

I learned the hard way as well, I now carry rain gear to everyrace. It's actually packed into my camera backpack at all times. As well as a big garbage bag and rubber bands. I got stuck about 3-4miles out at the Utah race with no rain gear for me or the camera. The camera held up just fine (even rain soaked), but I didn't fair as well.

Oh I brought my Camera gear, and I even layered up to stay warm... But unfortunatly,it wasnt waterproof
I was dried out in about 2 hours so all was good.

I do not believe Brandon knew he was DQ'ed in the Pro Main. I was talking to him Sunday after we loaded all our stuff up and he thought he was able to finish enough laps to get points and did not mention anything about being DQ'ed. I can't imagine he will be happy about the DQ!

As for the Sunday morning race....my boots are STILL filled with water and weight about 10lbs a piece. It was just unbelievably UGLY in the XC section, it was like riding in 1' deep wet concrete!

That sucks to go home thinking that you got some points to find out you were DQ'd. Again what I heard was just a rumor as to what was believed to of happened.

Thanks out4sand for helping confirm that the rumor I heard is more than likely now what happened.

Maybe something as simple as a scoring mistake.

Anyone get any photos of that section?

    rubber boot

Hey cannondale rider, yeah, that was me asking about the boot. Thanks for checking out your parts for me. like I said, I made to the line but just barely. Is outforsand J.M.? If so, whats up and see you in Havasu. that rule about help is kinda of funky. I thought it was for the pro class only. No one allowed to help the pro class. I think it would be a cool idea to let people out in the off-road section. then they could get a better idea of the hell that gets played out there. but in Phoenix, one of the sweepers said no one is allowed there.

I would imagine no one IS allowed out there due to safety reasons. In alot of places you can't see around the corner right in front of you, and if some one was on the course when a rider blew around the corner, it would be horrible for the person without the safety gear on (ie the spectator!) If they allowed people out on the course in the cross country sections, there would be NO way to regulate those people and keep everyone safe. They worry enough about the media being out there, but at least they can keep track of a few camera people that know how to stay out of the way......

Nope, I'm not Jeff (guessing that is who you mean by J.M.), I do not think he is a member on this board but he is a great guy! Most people call me Gingles (pronounced Jingles)

Sorry my bin didn't have the stock intake to loan out. Riding down in other peoples trailers always cuts down on the spare parts I bring along for the ride.

As for Brandon and the DQ, I'll see if I can find out the scoop. I hope it was just a scoring error or something along that line.

They let the parents out on the track Sunday morning to chase the 50cc 4-6 year olds. As far as I know race 11 is the only time you are allowed to be outside of the pits.

By the way adrenalinefreak I believe 177 is Cole Fite, not only is he an excellent rider but he truely an amazing person.

    check out his website

As out4sand already mentioned, he was the one looking in his parts bin, I was the sasquach looking dude on the couch, lol

The rules do seem to need a little more in depth descriptions.

As for Brandon, if it is trully a DQ, I wouldn't talk to him for a LONG time, at least until he gets a good race back to him.
