Floats are light but we have been running Elkas with awesome results...Long travel 14" rear shock gives us 8.5" of fully adjustable travel and 9" travel up front. Plush thru the whoops!

also is it possible to run your set up but with floats? I called fox today they have 13" (3" of travel) off of a 300ex and 14.5" (3.7" of travel) off a banshee.

    Front Elkas:
We modify the steering arm to lessen the angle on the tie rods and raise the tie rod mount on the spindle...the 13.25" Elkas raise the the front approx. 1.5" and it binds up the steering when fully extended on some units. We hope to have new upper ball joints next week that will also help with this issue. The front shocks are available with compression and rebound adjustments or compression only.

    Rear Elka:
We worked with Elka to develope a shock that would give us the travel we needed without raising the back end. We modify the swingarm with a new shock mount that improves the shock travel rate. Our shock is 14" eye to eye with compression and rebound adjustments.

As for your other shocks that may or may not work, I'm not sure, but would have to be sprung and valved for rider weight and ability...this could be difficult and costly and probably wouldn't work as well. I could probably get the Float on the rear to work if you were set on Fox.

    Hope that helps.

    Elka shocks

I bought Some Elka's and what they sent me were 13 1/4 fronts and a 10" for the rear. I have one of the first 20 shipped to the states, so they say. I have been having trouble with parts and upgrades and so on. My O.E.M front shock length is 12" from eye to eye and my rear shock measures 10 3/4 E.T.E. I put the fronts on just to see if they would work, and I can barely get them to compress let alone my 55 lb rider. What mod. should I make?
