Not de-tuned but rather never tuned. The big 4 don't even want to hear about a mini racing. Others are trying. DRX/DRR mini's are great out of the box and the cobra's are plenty fast.

More guts? You didn't see the one 90cc CVT machine do the doubles at Mt.Morris.
Doing something that you shouldn't be able to do takes more guts than doing it with a machine that should do it.

Thanks Jack............ I've been biting my tounge on that one. Kyle started doing the uphill double last year on his 70cc cvt......and loved doing it this year on his 90cc cvt. High Point is a local D5 track for us and is only about an hour from the house. They say at the National, Smitty from the ATVA couldn't believe the local D5 mini quads were doing it............ he's really looking forward to it next year with his TRX125 with DC Motorsports long travel suspension. They caught the eye of Pappy, check out the pics........sorry about hijacking the LT/KFX thread, but no guts in the mini quad riders.......... come on dude you need to pay attention at the track more. Dude the year I took that 70cc pic I stood at the base of the jump and looked at it.........wow all you see is sky. Those kids have all the guts in the world my friend.

We are also proud KFX 80 owners

The pis s*ucks I took it my self two years ago when he was doing it on the 70cc he made it all but one time that year

ok what im saying is if you take a lt 80 stock and a rm 80, the rm will smoke the **** out of the lt. what im saying is why dont they have the minis like the other jr. quads, have more power, have better shocks and arms the whole 9 yards...

I think it is safe to say the bike kids and the quad kids have guts. The bikes however do come with more power. But some of the stuff these kids are doing on quads these days is impressive

By the way......I love seeing pics of the 80's.You don't see many modded ones around anymore.

Your right Jason........... every kid, young man, grown man that snaps that throttle when that gate goes down has guts and I'm proud of all of them not just my son.

ok i mabie said that wrong,
to me. not the mini quad tracks i've been at are like a BMX track to me.... the quads were not that great because the jumps were 2 feet high, not saying that have a little kid thats racing on a quad is bad or wrong i want toget some fam. members that are yound ridein and mabe race a few also.. but then later on that day the 65 were on the same track the big boys were on doing all the jumps the others were doing,
and number 144 ( hes on a kawi 80 or 85? ) that races at Spring Creek Mx park fo you's who go that track. is a mad man, i watched him in a hairscramble and he was in 1st over all in front of the 250 2 strokes and 450 4 strokes... and we even asked the people who were running the race if the board was right. all im saying is i think that the mini quads should have just as much guts as the bikes... not sayin the kids on the bikes are better or the quads... some kids on quads are crazy some are soo afriad of crashing or something that i can keep up to them on my mountain bike, the saim on bikes...
