    Hybrid idea

In the fall my father wants to do an engineering project with me because he thinks it looks good for engineering colleges and I have a 406ex now and i would love to build a hybrid with equal or close power and good handling and stuff. If the hybrid was a 3200-3500 budget what quad wouldbe different/new to buil. I'm fourteen 5 10" 135 pounds but i want a quad that will be good when im 6 feet 200 pounds what kinda ideas would be cool to attempt?

If you want an engineering project, something that will stand out and not something that you could just basically copy here are some ideas.

I would even consider putting money into one if you could prove that you have the capacity to build it and this would have to be discussed in person/over the phone.

    But heres some ideas
What materials are you going to make the frame from? Chromoly or std mild steel?

    1. Pilot 400cc motor in 250R/ or 450R geometry frame.

    2. Honda NSR250R/500R motor in 250R geometry or custom frame.

    3. Some sort of Street bike motor in a quad frame. Preferably something 400cc + but a multi cylinder motor for longevity and power.

4.The ever eluded CR500 / KX 500 motor in a quad frame - the engineering feat would be to make it so it reduces vibration and doesn't crack the frame.

yeh the ktm will just as fast if not faster and you could use your 400ex,250r,450r but the 400 will brolly need the least modification

yea the 400ex you will have to cut the frame on the left side a little for the water pump to clear.
