    rear shock

    Is there a fix for the rear shock on this bike ?
    can the stock shock be rebuilt with lighter oil?
    has anyone had any luck with the stock shocks

    It is the spring that is stiff not the shock so much. We have tried reducing the nitrogen and it is still stiff. It is a gas shock so there is no oil.

    no oil !! waht the ???

    ok this is what we are doing we had some 300ex front shocks and there progressive springs so took them apart and they are only 1/4 in longer than the stock aasco springs
    swaped them out and it seems a bit better but i was also thinking of making a relocation bracket to lay the shock down a bit more

    If you just mount the shock on the opposite side of the frame (towards the engine) It works great. Both Elka and Works make a shock specifically for this bike as well.

    I will be sending some stock shock to noleen soon to have them broken down and see if they are able to beef them up or buy some elkas. we are doing this mainly for info purposes. But if you can run a modified stock shock the better. Save our customers some$.

    i am trying to used my rear elka shock of my dinil 90 to fit on the apex 70. is there any way this will work;

    The stock front Apex shocks work great on the Typhoon as a replacement for a 160lb rider.
