    Rear Brakes

I just bought one of the Rad Mfg. double row bearing carries and now I cant get the brakes back on. Do you have to get a different brake caliber mount? If not, any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

    thanks,

If it has tapered bearings,it should have came with a new brake stay.If it came with a stay and the caliper will not line up with it,the stay is for a 400EX.What exactly is holding you up?

the caliber is hittiing the top part of the swingarm. Its like the brake stay needs to be a little bit taller.

    thanks for your help.

Did the stay come with the carrier? If so,verify that it is a 250R and not a 400EX stay.I got an RPM carrier once and the stay was for the 400.

Try rotating the carrier over to the other side and it should raise the caliper mount up so you can bolt it on.

i had the same prob. i just removed a little metal from the brake stay with a bench grinder to allow it to swing all the way down and let the bottom bolt hole line up.
