+2+1 is 2 inches wider and one inch forward...
+2+1 means +2" on each side and +1 inch forward

Obviously stability is to be gained with 2" wider, but what do you gain with 1" forward?Originally posted by speedyquad

It lengthens your wheelbase and makes it track better at higher speeds. It will also change the balance point of the quad to help keep the front end planted or make the quad better balanced in the air.Originally posted by foleyit

I am now quadless...
While that may be true, most quads I've ridden with +1 forward actually handle worse. The front end seems to push an awful lot. Not a fan of +1 forward. my .02Originally posted by 300exOH

It depends on what other components you have.Originally posted by 400exrider707

For example, +1" forward with +1.25" out back rode pretty good. But I could imagine that +1" forward on stock length swinger would feel weird. All about Geometry!
It also depends on the quad. Some quads benefit from the +1 forward and some don't.
