Means when you receive your aftermarket cam, you have to send them your stock one back. That's how it worked for me last time.

Yea.. that means it's a "hardweld" cam. In other words.. they take a core cam (stocker), weld on more material and regrind it to a new shape.

They send you a cam.. you send them your cam as a base to make their next one.

When they say a 470 core charge, dont expect to get a $70 refund.I have never known anyone to get the full core charge back. You could send in a brand new cam for a refund and they will find something wrong with it.I just went with a sparks cam for $180 or so to my door and i didnt need a core.

When i did my head iwent with a set of new oem springs i found on eturd and i just brought a new set of stock rockers from the local honda shop.Hardweld cams require hardened rockers mine is a billet cam.I wasnt worried about valve float at 10k rpm since im not a rever,i just went with new stock stuff, been fine all year

Really? I'd just feel more secure with HD springs. most aftermarket cams call for them, but to each his own.

It depends on the application,if the lift isnt extreme then i wouldnt think twice, surely the companies want to cover their own azzes and plus sell more product.
