    98 Mojave 250

This quad is on ebay running out of time. The guy is close to my house. Min bid was $1,950 and he said the first $2400 would take it.

I emailed him and asked his low $. He came back with $2200.

How is this bike, What should I offer him that would be a great deal for me?

I am looking for anouther quad.

    Any Help is appreciated.

Both boys (8 & 11) are fine on 250 ex. The Mojave would be first for me and also allow an adult guest and myself to ride together. I'm also thinking it would teach the 11 year old how to use a clutch.

I really want a 300ex but havn't seen any in that price range ($2k).

    Speaking from personal experience.

I think the Mojave is a decent machine.
Is slightly underpowered but handles good.
Is a pretty good design w/ water cooling.

Is good for trails but underpowered in sand.

The Mojave has a fairly small frame so
you might want to consider your size before purchasing.

    Good Luck.

Go for it! I see guys commenting on the Mojave that probably dont have ride time on one. I had a 2001 Mojave with a WB pipe and K&N and it was a very quick quad for a 250. Granted it didnt have the power of my 400EX, but it would flat out thump my 2001 Warrior, a modified Blaster and a 300EX. People who havent ridden a Mojave make incorrect assumptions as to its lack of performance, but when they ride one or see one on the tail of a 400EX, they have to question their comments. I assure you that it you test ride a Mojave, a 300EX a Warrior and a Blaster you will choose the Mojave.

    Good bike

I am 6'5" and 250lbs. and had a 400ex and a Mojave. When I rode the ex and my 170lbs. friend was on the Mojave it was a close race. Of course, the handling and suspension and all lot of other things on the 400ex is better, but for a girlfriend, child, or adult guest who isn't too familar with quads, the Mojave will be a great machine.

"If you were a dedicated Mojave 250 owner and checked out our Mojave vs. 300EX story in the June 2000 issue, you probably were a little bit disappointed with the results. Sure, the 300EX beat it out in just about every category"

    I like the Mojave,
    But I LOVE the 300ex.

I ride with a Mojave every sunday and we diss each others quad
all the time, but at the the were just joking.

Give both them a test ride, I did before I got my 300ex.

DIRT WHEELS??? Come on fella. You know darn well that DW seems to have the deepest pockets win shootouts. I dont care what DW shootouts claim, I have been around this industry for over 17 years and have extensiely ridden hundreds of atc's and atv's and spent much time on both machines mentioned. Add to it that I love Honda and know they make the best OVERALL quad. But a Mojave eats up a 300EX. PERIOD! Use your DW to line your bird cage.
