    shock question

on a 250R chassis........what length frt. shocks is everyone runnin...

16 inch is stock....were running + 2 arms....I ordered tt/flat track frt. shocks and they came in at 13 inches.......is that the normal length eye to eye??? It apears that the rear needs to be lowered now... I have the link adjusted so the rear is down the hole way...still doesn't look right??? Do we send back the frt.'s and make them longer or shorten the rear???

Ride height realy depends on the track your running on, like jumps & ruffness.
13" shock would be ok for a smooth TT or flat track. Some riders like a front shock without a lot of travel.
We run the 16" Afcos with ZPS & thread adj ride height on one R & 16" ZPS Works with clip adj ride height on the other one.
Some riders like the rear a little higher than the front so when your on the power hard the bike is level.
If its ride height is level to start with then when your on the power its squating in the rear & throws you off balance, but some riders can ride like that to, so its a toss up.

If the tracks this comming season are like any we had this past season, you better have some good shocks to soak up some ruffness cause every rider got a good beating, except for the PA race the Hetricks put on, that one was top notch even with the rain.

    Ok,
Then 13" shocks will be ok.
Set it up low & wide & if the upper right side ball joint is threaded, put a little angle on the spindle, about 10 - 15* in at the top, depending on the corner banking though with the angle.
