    Tie Rod question

My son's Scrambler seems to steer loosely. There's a lot of play in the steering. I can easily move and twist the tie rods manually. I assume the tie rods need to be replaced. Do I need to replace the entire rod and assembly, or just the ball joint (if thats what its called). Do I need special tools? Is it an easy job or not?

Thanks Pappy. I'll start with the ends first. I've been reading many of the threads on your Powder Coating. Sounds like you have many happy customers. Kudo's !!
