    Question 300ex carb modification

    I have heard of people taking the choke plate out of 300 and 400ex carburators but in eed it explained clearly will i have to rejet? Please Help!!!!!!!!!!! I need power!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (This is for my 300ex)

    You will definately pick up power and you also will need to re-jet. I would start out with two sizes bigger than stock on the pilot jet and at least one size larger than stock on the main jet. This mod works well with airbox mods and exhaust mods or with no other mods. Look up my old thread that I started on this topic. There you will find some basic instructions. It is really easy to do. Even if you're not mechanical it should only take you a few minutes. Good luck!

    choke plate

    Please refer to my other post. This mod will not help a stock motor. Will actually make it loose power if you remove airbox.

    Thanks to quadfamily i think i am on the right track. the key is jetting..
