    Sprockets for LT80, 520, 428 ??? confused

On an LT 80 I see people writing on here about changing to 428 sprockets. Can someone provide some help here. It is time to change out the sprockets as they are worn and I need to change gearing as I am riding in the dune. Stock motor, aftermarket pipe and haulers. (6 paddle). Going to remove 2 of the rollers on the clutch. Now I didn't check the teeth on the sprockets but it is a stock 2000 lt80. Does anyone have some suggestions?

I would also like to change the chain so that I can have the 1/2 length link.

Should I just leave it stock? any help would be appreciated.

    thanks

    chain

i think the 428 is lighter. The lt 80 doesn't need that much strength.

I use 428 sprockets with #40 chain. It's much lighter and rolls very easy. I've never had an issue w/it. It so cheap that you just throw another chain on every now and then. It has 1/2 links.
Available at any tractor supply or go-kart shop.
Your gearing is 10/22 for 520
    For 428, stock is 12/26
I wouldn't think much gearing change would be needed for the dunes but possibly a 13 front.I'd have both the 12 and 13 on hand.
