If you aren't worried about having to run the open classes, I'd say a Walsh/KTM 520. There's some pics of one around here somewhere but I can't find it.

Who did the frame conversion on the 400ex/ktm520 and did it take alot of work?
Is 250r best geomentry to go for in motocross or is the 400ex similar ?

The 400EX and 250R are similar. But personally, I think the 250R has better geometry but at the same time I think it's a little harder got get a motor like that in it. Unless you have the money to buy an aftermarket 250R frame made for the motor you want to use.

the 400ex frames are bigger there for a little easier to install the hybrid motors...

Does anyone do a chassis so you can fit trx450r parts on.
The reason I ask is a secondhand trx450r will only cost about £500 more than a secondhand 400ex plus I have lots of 450r spare parts.
