Question do you need the spark arrestor in the oregon dunes??

i know you need it at national forest lands, but do i need it in the oregon dunes?? i always thought you did.

i just got my ct racing pipe and it came with a open tip and a 12 disc spark arrestor tip. i dont know if i should run the 12 discs or the open ended tip, i dont think it would make much of a performance difference would you??

thats if its even legal to run without the spark arrestor.

I pretty sure you need the spark arrestor. There are also sound restrictions.. I think it s 92db or 93db at The Oregon Dunes and 98db at Sandlake.

Maybe not. If you decide not to run the spark arrestor, do us all a favor and stay out of the trees and bushes

You don't need a spark arrester.

CT z400 pipes are awesome, I have read a lot of good things about them. I would put money down that the CT 453 kit will murder the Yosh 450 kit.

The best place IMO to trailride at the dunes is spinreel. I prefer to go out and get big air though

Ive never seen them go up and check for spart arrestors, but i have seen them check for sound. This past Labor Day Weekend at Sand Lake I seen a guy who was riding with us have on of those Curtis Sparks pipes, get stoped by the local 400ex cop patrol. That thing is LOUD!!! He had it on a Raptor, but i thought the WB pipes were loud. The C.S pipes could be heard from quite a distance. But they sound pretty mean.

Spark arresters are required at sand lake, last time I was there, law enforcement was rolling through the campground checking.

The hundred people riding around in the dunes drunk didn't seem to bother them though.
