    info on a hybrid

    hey guys im looking at a 400ex w/ a yz400f motor in it what kind of stuff do i need to be looking for, where do they usually crack at un normal wear and tear on stuff, how are the 400f motors are they pretty reliable?

    the 400f is a pretty reliable engine.
    pretty strong and nice torq.
    it was made before yamaha went to the 426 and to the 450
    the only problem seems to be the wear of the engine because of the short stroke and there for the higher rpm.
    and the gearbox isnt that great it intents to break down.

    hybrids are mainly good mx bikes. if u do do a hybrid 4 tt id get a yzf450 motor so u dont have to bore it down the road
