i guess this doesn't exactly go with the thread but does anyone know if it will be possible to get rid of the PRO steering on an 05 predator and bolt in the normal style steering system like whats going on the 07's?

I am almost 100% sure you can. The frames look the same, instead of the PRO there is a bearing that goes in its place. I think you just need the new stem and tie rods and your good to go.

what about the metric and standard ?

SO now that a few are out there can anyone tell me if they did away with the mix of nuts and bolts and go all metric or standard?
I have been told that my shop will have their first ones in January and I hate the thougt of having to deal with both.. .

i would even settle for a phone number to call and ask myself if anyone could get me the number......

    Thanks Craig

The hardware on the 525 should be a lot more user friendly, judging my the one I raced at Ironman.

Just confirmed on our dealersite that our two 525's leave the factory on 11/22/06. They will not say what the shocks will be so maybe there is a chance they will still be the Fox shocks. I don't think that those Ryde FX shocks can be revalved. I already have the HMF slip on and Hiper beadlocks waiting for it!!

Click on the interview with Gallager about the new 525. It is pretty informative.
