for the 400ex, the rs-3 is the best full system. the tri-oval is the best slip-on, but that is only a competition pipe without a quiet core. the rs-3 comes with a quiet core. rocky mountain is pretty cheap

For 300 bucks though, the slip on is steep. My uncle got the slip on for his 400, and we did a few drags when I got my HMF. The exhaust tone on the Yoshi is unique, but the HMF seems to have more low end. I can pull away until 4th or 5th, when he catches up with more top speed. He is leaner though, he had a 150 and I was a 152 on the main. Also, I can easily start in 2nd with my hmf. He stalls unless it is revved up.
    I own a:
Red 1999 400ex, Some mods, Filter, Skid plate, HMF pipe, etc.

Hell yeah I'm American! And I pay $3.30 for my gas... How much higher is it going to get???
