    Sportsman 500 Race Kill Switch

    I need to wire in a kill switch for GNCC racing, has anyone done this ?

    On my Brothers 02 Sportsman 500
    there are (2) 5 or 6 prong plugs going into the factory kill switch on the bike

    what wires do what ?

    i need help please, thanks.

    I cant tell you off the top of my head what wires etc, or if mine would even be similar, but I can look when I get home this evening and post a pic if you like.

    I got a 2004 Scrambler 500 that I race Hare Scrambles with.

    sometimes at the right place the wires will be sold along with an assembly for the kill switch. But if you dont want to buy the whole assebly you may ave to contact a dealership in your area for the wire types.

    figured it out a long time ago. one wire to a ground and one running to the coil. when the coil wire gets grounded it stops everything.

    take one wire from the kill switch and tap into the power of the coil. take the other wire and ground it out anywher on the bike. when you complete the circut it grounds the coil and takes all the power from it.

    a kill switch is like 20-25 bucks...

    the other stuff i had, but you can get at any hardware store for a few cents.
