Eichner edition VS. regular Edelbrock carb... What's the difference?

Hey guys. I have the standard 400ex Edelbrock carb on my 440 (34x38mm oval bore). My motor has extensive porting done with oversize ss valves, 12.5:1 compression 89mm Wiseco flat top piston, Hot Cam st. 2 and so on.

My question is what exactly is the difference between the "Doug Eichner" edition Edelbrock carb and the normal Edelbrock 400ex carb other than the bore size (Eichner is 38mm round) and I would assume a different needle and wider slide?

I know with my current jetting and the fact that I have the "non 440" version I'm not getting the full potential of my motor, but how much of a difference will it actually make if I switch to the Eichner 440 carb over the one I have now?

Is there a way to swap parts from the bigger carb to the smaller one and bore it out to be 38mm round instead of oval?

And Finally...would all of this be worth it?

Thanks for any help any of you guys can offer.
