    Oil!!!!!!!

    What oil should I be running in my 400ex. Stock everything but pipe and filter. Should I run a synthetic?

    I would. Dyno oil last about 1 ride untill it needs change. The 400ex motor ruins oil.

    Dyno? And i've heard running synthetic screws with the clutch.

    I being running synthetic in my quads for the longest and nothing wrong with my quad

    i have run synthetic in my 400ex since i have had it...it is a 2000 and still on the original clutch plates.
    I change the oil in it every 5 to 10 rides(depending on how hard i ride) and most of the time, it still looks like new.

    I run the bel-ray thumper racing 4stroke semi-synthetic oil. and have had no problems with it at all.

    i use ams oil 10w40..lil pricey
    ol' 2004 400ex

    As long as the oil doesn't have friction modifiers it should be fine, it if says it's for a wet clutch it will be fine also.

    So I'm now planning on switching to synthetic. But what weight is recommended?
