    Who's running 13/36 gearing???

Well I recently switched from 14/38 to 13/36 gearing. Well when I changed the sprocket, it was both too tight and too loose (weird huh?) The way we got it on was by put the chain on the sprocket were it needed to be and used a rubber mallet down to push it on. Now I was wondering if any one else had this prob???

WEIRD, isnt 13/36 stock? wen u had the bigger sproket u had to have a longa chain or loosen the old one up alot. so maybe u need a another chain, nothing to do with sprokets, or the chain is way too loose. or jus say F*K it and run it anyways

13/38 is stock gearing on the 300ex.

    I run 13/36 gearing on my 330ex w/ 22" rears.

I run 13/36 on my 300ex with 20 inch rears. I had to put a half link in the chain to get it to fit.

I am currently using a Primary Drive RDO O-Ring chain.

I have used the D.I.D. o-ring chains in the past.

I've never had to use a 1/2 link. The standard master link has always worked for me. The carrier has more than enough adjustment.

Granted, I use a Durablue dual row bearing carrier, but the stocker has the same adjustment, just different bearings.
