    lt80 dunning mods

Hi, i have a 1996 lt 80 and a 1990 lt 80. They are both stock . I took them out to the dunes for the first time yesterday. I am running 5 paddle gliders on the 96 and nanking 16x6.5 on the 1990. the one without the paddles seemed to do better. it seemed to rev better. What gearing or clutch changes do i need to do to run in the dunes. thanks

For stock motors, remove 2 of the front clutch rollers.
Stock gearing or maybe a cpl teeth bigger on the rear.

Thanks for the reply. So do the clutch mod first and maby a different sprocket in the back. When running paddles is it better to run the 520 chain or go to the 420 chain. Also I have read alot of your replies and it sounds like it is better to shave the head first and then maby add a pipe.

Rollers and/or head. A biger rear if needed after those.
I'd stick with the 520 for durability reasons (sand). Going to 428 sprocket size is more for the racer cuz #40 chain is then used for less drag purposes.
A pipe will come later or not at all depending on the desired end result. ie: we raced w/stock pipe for years. A serious duner/racer will get the pipe (trinity).

I did own 2 Lt80's, still own one. Both were stock and we run 7 paddle skat trak gliders and both are beasts. Hard for any other mini's to keep up with them. Makes me wonder if soemthign is wrong with one of your quads.
