    First off, spelling.

Second, yes, there are quite a few members that have run nitrous. I've done it, but I not anymore. I know several people that still have it, on a variety of quads. I did a little 250x, but others have done banshees, 250Rs, and 400EXs.

He didn't happen to be at the Dunes last weekend? There was a Predator at Olds Saturday night that was super fast up the hill--smokin' YFZs and Raptor 700s!

Thats my 400 on the Boondockers site under ATV Specs. I USED to run nitrous on my quad, before I went to a stroker.

I can tell you it was FAST (added 13.5 Horse with the small jet), looked awesome and was reliable/safe until I put a 416 pistong in it with too high of a compression piston.

Installaion was quick and easy. Heck, I liked it so much I bought an extra bottle. After blowing it up on the Dyno with a 12.5:1 piston and tryin' to run nitrous (and yes, I knew better ), I opted to just bore it out and stroke it to a 460. I get the same gains, better torque, and don't have to keep refilling a bottle. PLUS, I get to use it all day long, not just for 8 seconds at a time.

It did make a LOT of power though, I'll give it that.

How much compression do you think is safe to run with a Boondockers settup?

    [edit] numbers corrected

Boondockers has told me that 10.5 to one is the upper limit for compression when running nitrous.

my local machinist also recommend boring the cylinder .0005 (.5 thousanths) larger than spec when installing a new piston and running nitrous. For example, a JE Piston will spec out at .0020 clearance. When running nitrous, add .0025 to .005 to the clearance to make it .00225 to .0025 for an engine running nitrous.
