    idle speed

    how do i increase the idle speed on my 250ex?? i know it is probably just a screw to turn, but i don't know which one, and i can't find it in the manual

    Did you find it yet?

    If not, go to the right hand side of the quad, squat down to look at the side of your carburetor, and the first flat head screw you see looking back at you should be the idle adjustment. If I remember correctly, it's about a 1/4" head on that screw. Have your quad running to make sure, but I think it's lefty faster - righty slower. If you have the correct screw, it will turn easily and the RPMs will change immediately with any significant change in the screw position.

    the left-right thing is correct, and i've dealt with other things, and you usually can immediatly tell the difference, but.....it wasn't the idle speed giving me a problem, i didn't have, AND DON'T LAUGH!!!, and gas, that's why it was dying, lol
