    ok to drain engine oil...

take youre dipstick out (it's under the right side light cover)

theres a small tip (looks like a brake bleader) haging off the frame on the right hand side loosen it and let it drain, make sure you attach a tube.

theres another one on the left side of the frame down by the shifter loosen that one.

under the stator there is a 12mm bolt that you take completely out and let that drain.

on the left side there is a cover that has a 6mm bolt in the center remove that and it will give you acess to the filter. (If you have a stainless filter clean it well and reinstall if paper then call black widow ATV and get a sixer of the paper filters)

reinstall and tighten all the fittings you just took off and add 1 quart in the dipstick hole. start it let it run for a min and look down the hole fill it till you see oil running over the little hole down inside the frame.

    for tranny oil...

on the right side directly under the sproket is a 17mm bolt remove that and let the oil drain out you will have a stainless filter that will come out with it.

clean out that filter for reincersion. take a pair of pliers and SLIGHTLY crimp the end so it fits in the hole of the bolt tightly.

while screwing in the bolt with the filter attached you should be able to screw it in by hand untill the flange of the bolt touches the case if it doesn't theres something wrong and unscrew it and ajust the filter so it fits in there right.

to fill it use about 800cc of oil about 3/4 of a quart. on the left side of the case you will see the fill hole.

If you have a site glass it will be visible to see how much is in there on the older style there is a 6mm bolt rigth above the shifter that you remove and fill untill the oil drips out of it.

Make sure you use a good quality synthetic oil like red line super lightweight in the tranny and something like mobile 1 redcap in the engine.

motul super gearsaver also works well in the tranny.

Depends on how patient you are when you drain and how you drain. I usually get about 1 1/2 quarts in there. The key point that armoks makes is that initially start with 1 quart. Then slowly increase until just at the peep hole.

Yes but the point again let me reiterate put in 1 quart, run the motor at idle, shut off, then look down the dipstick hole for oil.
It should be right at the small hole when you look down in there.

You have to be very patient when re-filling oil as to not over fill.
If you overfill it will blow oil into your airbox which is no fun to be cleaning.
