Yup, on the project 450R Harlen put a vortex ignition (+1000 RPM) on and he gained 11 mph measured by a dyno.Originally posted by BlasterEaten250
i guess if you add a new rev limiter to a 400 you can go 81 mph.

that's all fine and well, but somewhere along the lines you have to have the horsepower available at the given rpm to overcome wind resistance, rolling resistance, and friction (assuming that you are running on flat ground.)
Yeah. theres a lot of variables.Originally posted by spent21

BTW, when it asks for how tall the tire is, is it front or back, or does it make a difference?
The fronts on my Raptor are 20s but the backs are 19s.

05 400ex 2mm over,11.5:1 or so,a little head work,sparks x-6,flexx,frame work,subframe work,rewired custom wire harness(electronics on airbox),custom reverse system, tapered bearings in rear,Elka triple,comp/rebound,+3 burgard and orange electrical tape on a cheap dura-break aahhmm durablue posi-lock nut. and a few other things....
the calculator assumes you have enough power to pull the gearing tha you use. if you give a 100hp motor the same gearing as an xr50, then the top speed will still be the same. and the rear tire are the only ones that make a difference, bigger tires = taller gearing
It wants your rear tire height.Originally posted by Quad Boy 660r

Use the "generic calculator" link at the bottom of the page and fill it out using the first window to setup for a stock 300ex. Then from there just change tire sizes and sprocket sizes for a comparison.Originally posted by 300exrider15
can u do that for a 300 ex
