I was thinking of sending out my 04 trx 450r head to C&D for some work. It has a stage two cam and a 13:1 piston. Can anyone give testimony to how well theirs runs?

i sent my head to c&d and you get what you pay for. its cheap. i personally wouldnt do it again from them if i had the choice. the ports were not perfectly straight after they got down with them. it sloped towards the intake side. tp say the least i was dissapointed. it also looked like they used a dremel or something of the sort to clean off the bottom of the head. not the best since it is hard to make it even. if your going to spend money, go for the best and dont cheap out like i did. jmo

to do a "good" port job it takes atleast 4-5 hours. most shops charge about $50-75 an hour for labor so for a good port job expect to pay no less than $200.
not sure on a 450R, but on other bikes i have ridden it makes an unbelievable difference. power is much better and smoother.
