    300ex idle problem

    My 300ex starts up fine, but it only idles for like 5-10 sec, then shuts off. what is wrong?

    is your idleing screw set properly? if thats not there, or not adjusted right, it wont idle long.Thats what it sounds like to me.

    Sit on your quad: on the right side, on the carb, there should be a knoby looking screw on the right side of the carb.To set it higher you twist to the right. Just mess around with that for awhile, and that should do it.

    if that dont work adjust your throttle cable thats what was wrong with mine i tried doin the carb but i loosened it all the way it still idled high so i messed with the cable deal on the bars and work just fine
