    GOD IS #1

The Perfect Day. You know, when you buckle your boots and slide your goggles on and things just feel right.... You take those first laps of practice and the tires are finding the berms easier, the bike feels faster, and your body feels stronger. You're in the zone, the Sweet Spot, and you can do no wrong!

It has to be money. If you look at the results, there are 6 guys runnning pro-am and pro. 4 of the top 6 in pro-am are pro riders, or at least they try to qualify for pro and most of them do.

Keep your eyes here, Live coverage will be coming up in about 15 minutes.

I am going to provide the play by play.

Please keep the posts to a minimum during the race, so we can keep action coming.

Top 10 overall from Round 1. In Glen Helen

    1. Joe Byrd
    2. John Natalie
    3. Doug Gust
    4. Keith Little
    5. Joe Haavisto
    6. Tavis Cain
    7. Jason Luburgh
    8. Jason Dunkleberger
    9. Chad Wienen
    10. Jeremy Lawson

As you can see the top 10 from round one, we saw quite a few racers up top that aren't normally there.

It will be interesting to see if it was round 1 luck, or if these rookies have been buckling down, and are really making a show for themselves.

Quite a few of the top veteran racers had some bad luck in round 1. We had Natalie with Seat malfunctions, Jeremiah Jones with suspension problems, and Farr and Spader with mechanical problems.

Will these guys have the gremlins worked out? We will see in just a minute.

Natalie Leads Gust by 2 seconds, they are both pulling a lead on the pack.
