    Question Replacing sprocket hub

    Ok ihave been searching this alot and cant find what i need the sprocket hub on my 250x is in bad shape but my axle is fine can i replace the sprocket hub and how would i go about this?

    I have an aluminum dura blue hub off a 400ex.
    I don`t know if it will work,,,you ck!

    As you can see the whole axle and sprocket hub are all one piece, I tried beating mine off when i replaced my axle carrier but it was really on there! I think they are pressed on so that they track right with the front sprocket.

    thats what i thought at first but then i see other company making after market sprocket hubs that will fit a stock axle so it should be possible to replace then im just trying to figure out exactly how right now.

    If they make hubs then they have to come out. I would get access to a shop with a press, and have them, or you press the axle out.

    thats kinda what im thinking by looking at the diagram you posted i see theres a split ring there which you would have to remove im kinda curious now as to if the axle has to be pressed out in a certain direction. thank you for your help so far

    I think, but if your standing behind the quad (hub on left, the hub should come off the left side of the axle, that's if the clip is to stop the axle from going to far to the right, to help align the hub so that the sprockets track correctly.

    looking at rear of your quad with........ you have to press the sprocket hub to the right ( towards the center of the axle ) just far enough so you can get to the c-clip/snap ring and take it off. Then press the sprocket hub back to the left ( towards the outside of the axle ) to remove it.
