    carb problems

    My 400ex has carb problems I know the accelerator pump is leaking. Next step is to rebuild carb. rebuild kit for carb is expensive at local atv store. My question is, would it be better to rebuild or buy aftermarket carb. If so what size and brand would you people recommend, have you done the conversion, and what power gain did you see. I have yoshi pipe and kn filt and jet kit installed.

    how much is the rebuild kit? Edelbrock make a sick carb but i hear mixed emotions about it. its not cheap either, i was told it takes a bit to get it dialed in but when you do it rocks.
    02' 300ex- K&N filter, 36rear sprocket, 13t front sprocket, Yoshimura exhaust , fly bars, DG rear bumper, AC grab bar, DG front bumper, 22' razors rear, ITP T-9 pro front wheels, Big Gun CDI box, 146 main jet, 42 pilot jet, barnett dirt digger clutch, kibble white valve spring kit, powroll billet midrange cam, Black maier plastics, wiseco 11:1 compression piston, lsr axle carrier, durablue eliminator 2+2 rear axle, 2001 raptor 660 rear shock.

    i have the edle brock and i love it but i to have heard the wos of geting it wrong from peopel i personaly love it once u get it set right it never needs adujstmetn and u cna do stuff almost verticly in hill climbs and hard core bank ride stuff plus i love to play around with ground tricks two wheels or one all the time lol
    and i absoultly couldnt imagin a better carb and the power in crease coupled with my yosh pipe was incredible it has perfect throatal response and it makes the bike urn so strong i would recomend it for sure u hjust have to be paitient and play with it for a while it took me a mounth to get it perfect once i did wow
    300ex edlebrock flate slide yosh pipe razr 2s all around k@n filters and out wears lonestar stearing stem bearing carrier and clamps srp bars ac nerfs lazer star light bar and lights ebc clutch wesco 11:1 piston .336 billet powroll cam kibble white valve springs works clutch lever lsr carrier 400ex pro flow with outer wear elka front shocks and works rear shock srp 400ex bend bars 909 grips trail tech computer maier blue plastic with 250r hood scoop jt chain and sproket(14-36) srp brake rotor ebc brake pads all around hd in back and carbon in front jbh oil cooler, amp link chain guide.
