    Sparks vs DASA pipe shootout

    BLUE RUN = DASA full
    RED RUN = SPARKS full

Both of these pulls were back-to-back runs on the same day.

The sparks pipe had no sparky or end cap installed

The DASA pipe came out before the big core was released? I thought the big core was out MONTHS ago?

Chad, so this was a standard core VS the new DASA pipe?? Yikes, way too close to call..Maybe the BC is the one to stay with after all?

I'd compare the standard vs the old core first. Odd are the new "standard core" is smaller than the old core to reduce dB's to a legal level. I'd waver the "big core" is similar to the old cores.

I know the core on my x-4 (pre standard/big) on my 300ex is a full 2" to 2-1/2" in diameter. I'd have to measure, I just know I had to use the 2" - 3" pipe expander on it when I shortened it 2" to clear my rear grab bar. This is on a wimpy 330ex.

I just bought a big core for my pipe last week. The big core is abourt 1/4inch bigger than my old standard core.

Of course my standard core was from a 400ex pipe, but the big cores are universal. Just for refrence my standard core is about 2 years old.

So it looks like we are going to stick with the Sparks BC then.
