    88-89 250R frame....

Anyone here have a 88 or 89 frame they want to sell me? I swapped my hybrid for a ESR310 ATC with all the fixings as well as a 88 TRX250R with a CT310 kit and all the ESR fixings.

BIG Problem, the TRX frame was/is all busted up and hidden with a new coat of powdercoat. I am a welder and started to strip and repair the frame, however it seems it is rotting from the inside out due to the stress relieving holes from factory Honda.

At this point I don't have alot of cash to shell out, but need to get a new frame in the near future. I am going to finish stripping it and try to gusset it as much as possible as a temporary fix.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've got an 88 frame thats only seen ice for the last 17 years. Never been damamged. I've had it stored for the last 8 to 10 years. It needs a fresh powder job but it is perfect. I need a ESR 310

This is the only pic I have of it on this computer, its the #1 bike. It hasn't had a motor in it for about 8 years, I ran the #7 bike for tt and ice to keep from destroying the 88. Its never been blasted or powdered but it has been painted a couple times. I can also powder it any solid color for $100. It doesn't have a title but I can have it titled, takes about 7 to 10 days for the title to show up.

How much you looking to get...? I'm keeping the other motor as a spare so no dice there as far as a trade is concerned. I am however, parting out or selling the rest of the 85 ATC 250r.

Still looking.... Anyone have any luck with these frames holding up after a good gusset job or do the cracks just keep moving around?

These frames seem really thin compared to others I've repaired.

On my 88 one season I had a couple cracks and used gusset plates, etc. to stiffen it up. The end of next year I had about 10 cracks. The following year I had 23!! So I ditched the frame and started MX-ing the 86 and its approaching the 4-5 crack stage
